LaBelle Woman Dies When Swept Away by Flood Waters
A LaBelle woman is dead after the SUV she was driving was swept off 190th Street north of Lewistown by flood waters around 1:30 Sunday morning.The Lewis County Sheriff’s Department says an SUV driven by 33-year-old Leeanett Phillips was found submerged in the Reddish Branch. Both occupants escaped the vehicle. A passenger was able to escape and swim away. Phillips was found around noon Sunday and pronounced dead by the Lewis County Coroner. An autopsy is pending.
