TFN - For those dealing with Alzheimer ’s disease in their family a new concept called the Memory Café is being established in Quincy. The Memory Café is a new “spin” on support groups whereby people suffering from Alzheimer’s and their caregiver are welcomed in a social setting. This gathering leads to the development of friendships, acceptance and interaction with others in a similar situation. The local Memory Café will be held every 2nd Wednesday of each month at 2 p.m. at the Quincy Senior Center at 639 York Street in Quincy. For more information, call Maxine Asher at 815-383-7244 or the Alzheimer’s Association office at 217-228-1111.
