Fire Damages Lewistown Residence

Fire early this (TU) morning damages a Lewistown home.
Fire crews from multiple northeast Missouri fire departments were called to 201 East Main in Lewistown shortly before 6:30 a-m. Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers say Missouri 6 was blocked in the area for a time during the firefighting efforts. Cold temperatures made for slick footing for firefighters. The City of Lewistown opened a nearby building for firefighters to warm up during their firefighting efforts. No word at this time on the cause of the fire.
