Flash Flood Warning Issued for West Quincy and Taylor

Concerns about a levee along Durgens Creek result in the issuance of a flash flood warning for West Quincy and Taylor.
Local emergency management officials tell the National Weather Service that the levee on Durgens Creek has the potential to fail. The warning issued at 4:15 this (FR) morning states that a failure would send water flowing south into West Quincy. Businesses evacuated the area on Thursday. Quincy's Bayview Bridge was closed to westbound traffic for around three hours Thursday evening to limit congestion and aid in evacuation and flood fighting efforts.
