Center and Hill Street Floodgates to be Installed at Hannibal

Two of Hannibal's flood gates are being installed tomorrow. (FR)

Hannibal Emergency Management Director John Hark says the flood gates on Hill Street and Center Street will be put in place starting around 8 a.m. Hark says this is because the Mississippi River is currently expected to crest at 21.1 feet by next Wednesday. Hark says this should be considered a precaution because of heavy rain expected in the next 48 hours.
