First Missouri Frost? Farmers Almanac Predicts 35 Missouri Places

Having grown up in a Missouri family that farms, I can tell you that farmers know things that others don't and that's especially true about the weather. They have almost a sixth sense to understand seasons. That's why I took notice when Farmer's Almanac says it knows what day will be the first Fall frost in Missouri.

Farmer's Almanac predicts weather using history and other scientific things I'm certainly not sharp enough to fully understand. They just shared predicted first frost dates for just about every town and city in Missouri. Here are 35 major Missouri places.

On the extremes, you have St. Joseph with the earliest first frost prediction of October 10 while Poplar Bluff is predicted to see its first frost as late as the 1st of November. Chilly.

I will admit that this is a strange topic for a hot August, but it really won't be that long before Missouri will start to feel that chill in the air again. It's only a matter of time.
