7 Missouri Places Have Already Gotten More than 9 Inches of Rain

We knew it was going to rain in Missouri and we knew it was going to rain a lot, but 7 places in the state have already received more than 9 inches of rain.

I hate to say I told you so, but I told you so. A few days ago, I shared details of how some isolated places in Missouri could receive up to 10 inches of rain. Little did I know that 7 places in the state would already have over 9 inches of rain and the storms aren't over yet.

Look at this graphic just shared by the National Weather Service in St. Louis, Missouri.

That large amount of rainfall (which isn't over quite yet as of this writing) also came with several tornadoes in Missouri including one in St. Charles.

Rain is expected to continue through Missouri until later in the day on Tuesday, so it will be interesting what the final rainfall totals end up being. I predict we will easily see at least a few places in the state that will top 10 inches of precipitation over a 2 day period which is remarkable.
