BNSF railway officials expect finish cleanup following a derailment in West Quincy.
A dozen cars on a westbound 70 car train derailed early Tuesday just north of the US 24 overpass. Five of the cars ended up on their sides. Cause of the derailment has not been determined. Amtrak spokesman Marc Magliari says they had to use charter buses for Chicago the Chicago bound trains because of the derailment. Amtrak passenger service on the Illinois Zephyr and the Carl Sandburg returns to normal today
