Hannibal’s college summer league baseball team is headed south.
Following extensive damage to Clemens Field during last summer’s flooding… the franchise is relocating to O’Fallon Missouri and CarShield Field. O’Fallon’s city council approved a five year lease at this week’s meeting. Owner Rick DeStefane says “O’Fallon is an ideal location for the Prospect League Organization and we look forward to meeting the residents and business community." The Hoots franchise started in 2018 after the Hannibal Cavemen suspended operations in early 2017. The spring flooding caused in excess of a million dollars of damage to the playing field and stands at Clemens Field. The Hoots
played last summer at QU Stadium in Quincy.
