Arrest Made in Fatal Kirksville Shooting

Kirksville Police make an arrest in connection with a shooting death Thursday night.

Kirksville Police responded to a report of shots fired at the Days Inn at 10:45 p.m. Thursday.

Officers arrived to find 41 year old Echo Welte of Kirksville, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

A suspect is in custody. He’s identified as 40 year old Danny Welte, also of Kirksville.

Charges are pending against Danny Welte, as the investigation into the fatal shooting continues.
