Quincy Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 700 block of Cedar just after 3:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Officers arrived to find 26 year old Emond Morris of Quincy, who was pronounced dead of a gunshot wound.

A short time later, police arrested 51 year old Christopher Huckstep in the 1200 block of North 12th.

Police report Huckstep was in possession of a firearm at the time of his arrest.
