Quincy Man Sentenced for Attempted Murder

An assault on a Quincy woman and an escape attempt at the Adams County Jail results in a lengthy prison sentence.
46 year old Brian Dyer is sentenced to a total of 30 years following an attack on a woman in a residence on South 23rd in mid March and for an accusation that he was involved in scraping mortar and removing bricks in the Adams County Jail. That attempted escape occurred in May. Dyer entered guilty pleas in November to attempted first degree murder and criminal damage to state supported property as part of a plea deal.
