Illinois State Police report a total of 14 citations or arrests and 22 written warnings following two roadside safety checks in Adams County.
Roadside checks at Illinois 57 and I-172 on the night of November 13 and 14 and another check at Third and Maine on the night of November 20 and 21 resulted in no DUI arrests. Troopers report five insurance violations, three driver’s license offenses…two occupant restraint violations and two alcohol or drug related citations. Illinois State Police say the roadside checks are designed to keep roads safe by taking dangerous DUI offenders off the road. Project funding comes from the Illinois Department of Transportation.
