DUI Charges Follow Crash South of Marblehead

A collision involving two pickup trucks on Illinois 57 south of Marblehead at 11:07 Monday night results in DUI charges and injuries for a Quincy man.
Adams County Sheriff’s deputies say a southbound pickup driven by 46 year old Timothy Smith of Quincy was operating in a reckless manner when it struck another southbound pickup driven by 51 year old Rebecca Nutt of Mendon. Deputies say that the Smith pickup continued southbound after the collision… ran off the road and hit a tree just north of E-900th. Smith was taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment of non life threatening injuries. Smith is charged with DUI… reckless driving… no insurance and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
