A roadside safety check in Quincy results in a total of 14 citations or arrests and six written warnings.
Illinois State Police say the check was conducted at 12th and Chestnut from late Wednesday August 21st to the early morning of August 22nd. Officers report four alcohol or drug citations and four driver’s license offenses along with one insurance violation and one registration offense. There were no occupant restraint violations and no DUI citations resulting from the roadside check. The additional enforcement
is funded through the Illinois Department of Transportation.
