The website niche.com has released its list of top Missouri school districts for 2017 and Hannibal School District’s ranking is…not great.

Out of 431 ranked school districts, Hannibal Public Schools came in at number 266.
According to the site, the rankings were compiled based on “reviews from students and parents as well as data from the U.S. Department of Education. Factors include state test scores, college readiness, graduation rates, SAT/ACT scores, teacher quality, public school district ratings, and more.

Niche gives the Hannibal School District an overall grade of C+. The grade was compiled based on individual grades in academics (B-), food (B-), diversity (B-), college readiness (B-), health & safety (B-), sports (B-), resources & facilities (B-), teachers (C+), clubs & activities (C+), and administration (C+).

Hannibal also came in 180th in terms of having the best teachers and 193rd for safety. The district placed 60th in size, 74th in diversity, and 84th in best school districts for Missouri athletes.

The site ranks the School District of Clayton first on their list with an overall grade of A+.
