The Hannibal Public School District has filled two of its vacant elementary school principal positions.

District officials have announced the hiring of Alison Evans as principal at Mark Twain Elementary and Corey Bennett as principal at A.D. Stowell Elementary.

This is the first administrative position for both Evans and Bennett.
Evans most recently taught in the Macon schools, while Bennett’s most recent position was in the public schools in Dexter, Missouri.

Evans replaces Karen Wheelan, who is retiring at the end of the school year. Bennett replaces Kyle Gibbs, who is taking a superintendent’s post in Bourbon, Missouri.
