The Hannibal School District has selected replacements for two assistant superintendents who will be retiring this summer.

Both Maria Mundle and Darin Powell chose to take advantage of the district’s early retirement incentive program and will retire from their positions June 30th.

Last week, the Hannibal School Board voted to hire Meghan Karr and Shawn Brown to fill those assistant superintendent positions.

Karr has been employed by the Hannibal district since 2008, most recently as principal of Eugene Field Elementary School.

Brown brings 19 years of education experience to his new position, most of that experience coming in the St. Louis area.
