When school starts this fall, the Hannibal School District will be home to a new health clinic.

At its school board meeting Wednesday night, Superintendent Susan Johnson updated the board on progress on the repurposing of the district’s special services building into a health clinic for district families and employees.

Clarity Healthcare will remodel the building at no cost to the district and staff the clinic.

The new clinic will improve healthcare access for students, their families and district employees. Among the services to be offered are free immunizations and physicals.

Although the remodeling of the clinic may not be complete by the beginning of school, the clinic will be open for the first day of classes.
