The reborn Hannibal entry in the Prospect League now has a name.

The Courier Post reports that their on-line campaign to name the rebranded franchise resulted in team officials selecting the Hannibal Hoots as the name for the new ball club.

The team also revealed its new logo, featuring a menacing, black and gold owl.

And, the Hoots announced that former Quincy University player and current Danville Area Community College assistant coach Clayton Hicks will be the club’s new field manager.

The Hannibal Hoots will begin play in the Prospect League in May of 2018.
