The completion of Hannibal’s McMasters Avenue project will have to wait until spring.

Officials with the Missouri Department of Transportation report that the combination of resurfacing work having to be done at night, and the need for mild temperatures for the work to be done properly results in the delay of the resurfacing of Highway 61 from Highway 168 to Warren Barrett Drive until next year.

MODOT officials point out that new sidewalks, guardrails, drainage and traffic signs and signals were completed before the project was put on hold.
