Update on the New Champ Clark Bridge at Louisiana

Work on the new Champ Clark Bridge at Louisiana is beyond the halfway point.
MODOT Project Director Keith Killen says they’ve been able to pour the
deck on the Illinois section and are setting precast deck panels over the river. Despite some winter weather… precipitation and cold temperatures… the project remains on schedule. The new Champ Clark Bridge is expected to open to traffic by the fall of this year. Contractor Massman Construction provides monthly updates. The next update is set for 10 a-m on Saturday January 26th in Louisiana’s Riverview Park.
