Tickets Issued After Crash Involving ILSP Car

No injuries are reported after a car hit an Illinois State Police patrol vehicle on I-72 near Barry at 7:15 Sunday evening.
Illinois State Police say a car driven by 31 year old Courtney Vaughn of Quincy attempted to pass a semi and lost control of her vehicle. Vaughn’s car went out of control on the snow covered road and hit an unoccupied squad car while the trooper was assisting a motorist who slid into the median. Vaughn was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.
