Student Charged Following Lockdown at Culver Stockton
Lewis County authorities say a student from St. Louis faces felony charges after an incident Tuesday evening that led to a campus wide lockdown.
19-year-old Maxwell Webber is charged with unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action. Webber was a student at Culver and was taken into custody in his dorm room at 10:25 Tuesday night. Lewis County Sheriff’s deputies say their investigation found that a male subject pointed a gun at another Culver-Stockton student while they were standing in a parking lot near the fieldhouse. The victim identified Webber to authorities. Webber is held on $50,000 cash only bond.
