Shooting Being Investigated in Quincy

Quincy Police are reportedly investigating a shooting in the area of 5th and Cherry.

Very few details area available at this time.

According to WGEM, police arrived on the scene at approximately 3:45 on Tuesday afternoon. The WGEM report says several police cars and a K-9 unit were observed at the scene.

KHQA is reporting that a suspect has not been arrested. There is no public safety concern at this time, according to the KHQA report, as police belief the shooting was not a random act.

The Herald-Whig says that police are looking for a gold Lexus that was heading south on 5th Street.
