Charges Filed in Novinger Shooting Incident

A Novinger man faces charges following a shooting incident at a convenience store.
37 year old Richard McCully is charged with first degree assault… armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon following an in incident at 2:30 Monday morning at the 7^th Heaven Convenience store in Novinger. Court documents say McCully admits firing one round through the windshield of a pickup. McCully told deputies a man in the pickup tried to run over him. Court documents indicate that surveillance video does not support McCully’s story. McCully is held in Adair County on 150-thousand dollars cash only bond.
