The Hannibal man charged in connection with a police chase and officer-involved shooting in downtown Hannibal a year ago is sentenced to prison.

DaMark Rudd had initially entered not guilty pleas to four charges last May. Last week, Rudd pleaded guilty to resisting arrest and property damage in St. Charles County Circuit Court.

Rudd is alleged to have been behind the wheel of a vehicle that struck two other vehicles on North Main Street before crashing on Fulton Avenue. Hannibal Police Sgt. Darrin DeLaPorte fired his gun at the vehicle, wounding a passenger in the Rudd car.

Rudd was sentenced last Friday to six years in prison on each count, with the sentences to run consecutively.
