Police in the Miami area say they're looking for suspects in the shooting of suspended St. Louis Rams wide receiver Stedman Bailey.

Investigators say Bailey was with four other men in a car outside a home Tuesday night when another car drove up and someone inside opened fire. Bailey and another man were hit. The victims drove themselves to the hospital, where Bailey is having surgery.

The Rams say they have spoken with Bailey.

Bailey went to high school in the Miami area and was drafted out of West Virginia in 2013. He was suspended four games this month for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy and has two games remaining on that ban.

He was suspended two games for performance-enhancing drugs at the start of last season.
