Quincy Standoff Follows Payson Theft Report

One person was taken to Blessing Hospital for an evaluation following a brief standoff in Quincy Tuesday.
Adams County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the Fastop in Payson for a theft involving counterfeit money. Deputies arrived just before the suspect fled. Deputies broke off a pursuit after a short time. Vehicle information helped deputies locate the individual at a residence at 5th and Harrison. Charges are pending.
