Quincy Civic Center Board Meets on Gems’ Sale

The Quincy Civic Center Authority Board meets in emergency session Wednesday to discuss the sale of the Quincy Gems.

Officials say a proposal has been presented to the board for “lease of sale” for the Gems.

The executive session Wednesday was called to discuss the price of the proposal.

The identity of the potential buyer was not revealed, but it is known that the buyer intends to keep the Gems in Quincy.

The Civic Center Board has until September 1st to finalize the sale and submit the agreement to the Prospect League.
