A traffic stop Monday afternoon on Illinois 106 between Detroit and Pittsfield results in one arrest.

Pittsfield Police received a citizen report of a reckless driver shortly before 2 p-m Monday. During the resulting traffic stop a Pike County Sheriff’s department canine was brought to the scene where it alerted on the presence of drugs in the vehicle. Field tests were positive for fentanyl, heroin and cocaine, 38 year old Richard Burton of Roodhouse was arrested on a variety of traffic and drug charges and taken to the Pike County Jail in Pittsfield.
