Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers will be out in force for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

According to Troop B commanding officer Capt. James Wilt, his troopers will be a part of Operation CARE, the Crash Awareness and Reduction Effort, throughout the holiday weekend.

Along with the CARE enforcement operation, troopers will conduct stepped up patrols on Highways 63, 24 and 36 in northeast Missouri.

The official Thanksgiving holiday weekend runs from 6 p.m. Wednesday through midnight Sunday.
