Grant money is coming to northeast Missouri for housing rehabilitation.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced the awarding of nearly $150,000 in Rural Development Housing Preservation Grants to the Northeast Community Action Corporation.

The grant money will go to the repair and rehabilitation of housing owned and occupied by low and very low income rural Missourians.

NECAC will use the money to rehab homes in nine northeast Missouri counties, including Lewis, Marion, Monroe, Pike, Ralls and Shelby.
