Marilyn Kramer Makes First Court Appearance For Fire Deaths
The mother of two children who died in an October Quincy house fire made her first appearance in court Wednesday.
Marilyn Kramer was in Adams County Circuit Court to hear the charges against her and to have a public defender appointed.
Kramer is charged with two counts each of involuntary manslaughter and child endangerment.
Kramer and William Brewer are alleged to have run damaged extension cords from a neighbor’s basement for electricity in their home, leading to a fire October 5th of last year that took the lives of eight year old Toby Brewer and five year old Emma Kramer.
Brewer is on his way back to Quincy after being arrested by U.S. Marshals in Mississippi.
Kramer and Brewer are expected to appear together for their next court date February 13th.
