Two Indicted Following Fatal Quincy Fire
Indictments for involuntary manslaughter and endangering the life of a child result from an October fire in Quincy that left two children dead.
Adams County State’s Attorney Gary Farha says Marilyn Kramer and William Brewer were indicted by an Adams County Grand Jury on those charges. Quincy firefighters were called to 611 North Eighth on the evening of October 12th. Heavy smoke was coming from the second floor as firefighters arrived. An autopsy found that 8 year old Toby Brewer and 5 year old Emma Kramer died of carbon monoxide intoxication due to smoke inhalation. The involuntary manslaughter and endangering the life of a child charges mean Kramer and Brewer face prison sentences of two to five years. Bond for each is set at 25-thousand dollars.
