Investigation Continues Into Death of Palmyra Woman

An investigation continues into the death of a Palmyra woman who was struck by a vehicle on Christmas Day.

First responders were called about noon Wednesday on a report that a 34 year old man had struck a 32 year old woman with a vehicle west of Palmyra.

The woman, identified as Kasey Hess, was taken to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, where she was pronounced dead shortly after 1 p.m.

Investigators have yet to determine whether the incident was accidental or intentional.

They also say that while no one has been detained, this is being treated as a criminal investigation.
