Hannibal Water Treatment Plant Changing to New Filter System

Hannibal Board of Public Works officials say facility construction and delivery of granular activated carbon media is complete at their water treatment plant.
Contractors… engineers and water treatment plant staff are in the process of verifying equipment operation and the new control system. BPW officials say this will allow them to treat water through the new system and that ammonia will not be used in the process by March 31^st. The process changes is in accordance with Proposition 1 approved and adopted by the Hannibal City Council on May 16 2017.
