A Hannibal man faces drug related charges after he crashed his semi on Interstate 72 in Scott County, Illinois just before noon Monday.

The Illinois State Police reports 45 year old Jerry Ginn ran off the interstate, with his semi coming to rest upright in a ditch.

Ginn was not hurt, but he was taken to Passavant Hospital in Jacksonville because it was believed initially that he had a medical condition.

An investigation into the crash resulted in Ginn being charged with DUI-drugs, improper lane usage, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
