(HANNIBAL)—A Hannibal man faces several charges following a pursuit from Hannibal to Center on Tuesday evening. Ralls County Sheriff Gary Dinwiddie says 62 year old Ronald Johnson is held in the Pike County Jail on a variety of charges including assault or attempted assault with a deadly weapon and resisting or interfering with arrest. Johnson also faces previous charges in Monroe County including aggravated DWI charges. The pursuit started in Hannibal around 8 p-m Tuesday. The suspect vehicle ran over stop sticks placed by Hannibal Police and continued on. Additional stop sticks were placed on Missouri 19 at Center. As the suspect drove away from that location… he struck the rear of a squad car. Johnson was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment following the incident.
