Five Hurt in Scott County, Illinois Crash Saturday

Five people are hurt in a two vehicle crash on Old Highway 36 at Interstate 72 in Scott County, Illinois at 1:39 p.m. Saturday.

The Illinois State Police reports that 69 year old Dennis Wyatt of White Hall was westbound on the I-72 exit ramp at milepost 52 north of Winchester.

Wyatt failed to yield, turned left and collided with a northbound pickup, driven by 62 year old James Waters of Pittsfield.

Both drivers, along with three passengers in the Waters truck, 39 year old Kamila Waters of Pittsfield and two boys, ages four and five, were taken to Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville for treatment.

Wyatt was ticketed for failure to yield at a stop intersection.
