Fifteen Killed on Missouri Highways Over Holiday Weekend
There were fewer injuries but one more fatality on Missouri’s highways this Thanksgiving weekend compared to a year ago.
The Highway Patrol reports that 15 people lost their lives statewide over the weekend, with 116 injuries. That compares to 14 fatalities and 124 injuries in 2016.
Troop B at Macon reported two traffic deaths in northeast Missouri over the weekend.
A Marceline teenager died in a one car crash in Linn County Friday night.
A Keokuk teen was killed Sunday, also in a one car crash in Clark County.
There was also a fatality in Audrain County Friday night, when a Centralia woman struck the rear of a car stopped in traffic west of Mexico.
