Two are killed and at least two others are injured, one seriously, in three separate traffic crashes in northeast Missouri and western Illinois over the weekend.

A Quincy man has died from injuries suffered in a car-motorcycle crash at 11th and Payson just before 7 p.m. Friday.

Quincy Police report a motorcycle operated by a 24 year old Quincy man collided with a car driven by an 18 year old woman, also of Quincy.

The man was pronounced dead in the Emergency Room at Blessing Hospital.

No names have been released. The investigation into the fatal crash continues.

 

A Pittsfield woman dies from injuries suffered in a three vehicle crash on Highway 54 north of Pittsfield at 3:30 p.m. Friday.

The Illinois State Police reports 70 year old Sharon Brannan of Pittsfield was southbound when she sideswiped a northbound livestock trailer, driven by 46 year old Ryan Leischner of Beardstown. Brannan lost control of her SUV and collided head-on with a northbound car, driven by 53 year old Debra Webb of Jacksonville.

Sharon Brannan was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pike County Coroner. Webb and a passenger in the Brannan vehicle, 78 year old Gary Brannan, also of Pittsfield, were taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Leischner refused medical treatment.

 

A Troy man suffers serious injuries in a UTV crash on private property on Tucker Lane southeast of Monroe City at 10:45 p.m. Friday.

The Highway Patrol reports an unknown driver attempted to perform a maneuver, causing the UTV to overturn. A passenger, 39 year old Reginald Evans of Troy, was ejected from the vehicle, and the vehicle rolled on top of him.

Evans was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment.
