Area health department officials reported 16 new confirmed COVID-19 cases and two additional COVID related deaths Thursday.

The Lewis County Health Department reported eight new coronavirus cases, along with one death, since last Saturday. Their case total is now 1,095, with nine active and now 21 deaths.

Pike County, Illinois officials reported five new COVID cases Thursday, bringing their case total to 1,696, with 15 active and 47 deaths.

The Brown County Health Department reported two new coronavirus cases. Their case total is now 672, with nine active and seven deaths.

And, the Adams County Health Department reported its 115th COVID related death, a male in his 90s. There was also one new positive case reported. The Adams County case total is now 8,047, with 41 active, six hospitalized and one in ICU.
