A Durham man faces several charges following an incident last weekend near Durham.
Lewis County Sheriff’s deputies say 36 year old Erik Hickerson fled from a deputy trying to make a traffic stop. Deputies say Hickerson was captured at a residence near Highland High School and charged with resisting arrest by fleeing. The investigation also turned up controlled substances and Hickerson was also arrested for possession of methamphetamine. The investigation also resulted in the arrest of Hickerson’s ex-wife—36 year old Jayme Hickerson for possession of a controlled substance. Both are held in the Lewis County Jail. Deputies say a search of Erik Hickerson’s residence in Durham yielded several items related to the possession or sale of controlled substances.
