Ewing Man Arrested, Three Hurt in Pike County MO Crash
A Ewing man is in the Lewis County Jail on a variety of charges.
Lewis County deputies and state troopers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence in Ewing about 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Officers were told by the victim that her husband, 79 year old Ronnie Atteberry, had thrown things at her and shoved her down.
Atteberry had left the residence. When he returned and saw officers, he fled the scene.
A low speed pursuit followed, with Atteberry striking and disabling a Sheriff’s Department patrol car.
Atteberry finally returned home just before midnight and was taken into custody.
He was charged Thursday with resisting arrest, creating a substantial risk by fleeing and assault of a law enforcement officer.
Atteberry is being held on $50,000 bond.
Three are hurt, one seriously, in a two car crash on Pike County Route UU east of Highway 61 at 3:15 p.m. Thursday.
The Highway Patrol reports 18 year old Savannah Kemry of Louisiana was northbound, crossed the center line and struck a southbound car, driven by 27 year old Emilie Hegerfeld of Hannibal.
Kemry was taken to Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana. Hegerfeld was taken to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, both with moderate injuries.
A passenger in the Hegerfeld car, 54 year old Elizabeth Hubble of Bowling Green, was taken by Air Evac to Blessing Hospital with serious injuries.
