A Pike County, Illinois man is killed in an SUV crash on Highway 104 west of Fishhook in Adams County just before 3 p.m. Friday.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office reports an SUV, driven by 43 year old Michael McDowell of Baylis ran off Highway 104 for an unknown reason.

An investigation into the fatal crash continues.

 

A Blue Springs, Missouri man suffers serious injuries in a car/motorcycle crash on Highway 79 north of Clarksville just before 3:20 p.m. Sunday.

The Highway Patrol reports 19 year old Shane McLaughin of Blue Springs was eastbound on Pike 245, pulled onto Highway 79 and was struck by a northbound car, driven by 20 year old Jonathan Bryant of Clarksville.

McLaughin was taken by helicopter to Mercy St. Louis for treatment.

 

A Palmyra teenager escapes with minor injuries in a motorcycle crash on private property northwest of Palmyra at 6 p.m. Saturday.

The Highway Patrol reports the 17 year old male was southbound, attempted to take off and was ejected from his motorcycle.

The juvenile was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment.

 

Two are hurt in a crash involving two trucks on Highway 24 west of West Quincy in Marion County just before 3 p.m. Friday.

The Highway Patrol reports 84 year old J.D. Frieden of Taylor was eastbound in the westbound lane of 24 and collided head on with a westbound truck, driven by 52 year old Steven Coffey of Palmyra.

Frieden and Coffey were taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

 

A trucker from Nashville, Tennessee suffers minor injuries in a semi crash on Ralls County Route A east of Monroe City at 10:20 a.m. Friday.

The Highway Patrol reports 60 year old Jeffrey Blair was eastbound when his rig ran off the highway and overturned.

Blair was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment.
