LaBelle Man Killed, Two Injured in Weekend Traffic Crashes

A LaBelle man is dead from injuries suffered in a single vehicle crash on a rural Lewis County road south of LaBelle at 4:30 a.m. Sunday.

The Highway Patrol reports 26 year old Alexis Roblero Velazquez was eastbound when his pickup ran off the road, struck a culvert guidepost and a utility pole. The truck then came back on the road and overturned.

Roblero Velazquez was pronounced dead at the scene by Lewis County Coroner Larry Arnold.

A Hannibal man suffers moderate injuries in a motorcycle crash on Ralls County Route O north of New London at 11:15 a.m. Saturday.

The Highway Patrol reports 35 year old Joseph Homan was southbound when he failed to negotiate a curve, causing his motorcycle to run off the road and ejecting him from the bike.

Homan was taken by helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia.

A Canton man escapes with minor injuries in a single vehicle crash on Orange Street northwest of Canton in Lewis County just before 8 p.m. Sunday.

The Highway Patrol reports 19 year old Shawn Miller was eastbound when his pickup ran off the road and struck a tree.

Miller was taken to Blessing Hospital in Quincy for treatment.
