The Curtis Lovelace case will be featured on the national news program Dateline NBC Friday.

Lovelace, a former Adams County Prosecutor and Quincy School Board president, stood trial twice for first degree murder in connection with the death of his first wife, Cory, in 2006.

Lovelace was arrested for the murder in 2015. His first trial in Adams County in 2016 resulted in a hung jury. He was found not guilty in the second trial, in Sangamon County earlier this year.

Lovelace has since filed a lawsuit against the city of Quincy, numerous members of the Quincy Police Department and others.

The Dateline NBC episode, entitled “Mystery on the Mississippi,” will air locally on WGEM at 8 p.m. on Friday, October 6.
