Canton Issues Apology Following Tornado Siren Confusion
City officials of Canton, Missouri have issued an apology for confusion encountered during the April 27 severe weather threat.Amidst the thunderstorms, the city’s tornado sirens sounded though no tornadoes were in the immediate area. It was later revealed that the sirens were nothing more than an untimely system test.
It is against the city’s policy to test tornado sirens during inclement weather so as not to create worry and/or confusion.
