The Missouri State Emergency Management Agency is conducting applicant briefings across the state this week for local government and nonprofit agencies in 46 counties applying for federal assistance.

Eligible agencies are looking for federal help for damage to roads, bridges, public infrastructure and emergency response costs as a result of flooding and severe storms from late April through mid May.

One of those applicant briefings is Thursday at 9 a.m. in the City County Chambers at City Hall in Louisiana.

Pike and Ralls counties were among the counties included in the federal public assistance disaster declaration.
